Birds Do It

Teeny Birds Tweet in the Twees,
but you can learn to tweet without climbing a tree. Mike Vance will present a program on how to tweet friends, celebrities, and the president. He will also cover other things your five-year-old grandson can already do.

Download Movies to a TV

You can now download movies directly to your TV without a computer or a black box. New TV's and Blu-ray players allow you to receive video from the Web with a broadband connection. No more squinting at a computer monitor to see a movie. See it "big screen."
If you plan to get a Blu-ray player, look for one that is Internet-enabled.
There are several companies that provide the movies. Amazon Video, Blockbuster, Netflix, and Vudu let you watch movies for prices ranging from $2 to $6 depending on the movie and whether you want HD. Check the latest Consumer Reports for more details or search the Internet.

On Demand Movies

Charter and other services have On Demand movies. You will need a cable box for this. You can get a box that includes a DVR that can record movies with a touch of a button.
Charter has a number of free movies. If you subscribe to some premium services, you have access to more free movies.
You can also get newer movies for prices ranging around $5. This is cheaper than some video stores, and you don't need to return the movie.

USB-3

USB 3.0 is the new kid on the block. It is faster than USB 2.0 and is supposed to maintain backwards compatibility with USB 2.0 devices. You need new cables, and there may be other differences.
Unless you are a speed freak, USB 2 should meet your needs until you get a new PC with it already installed.
